Plot Summary:The 'Queen Elizabeth 2', or 'QE2' as she is commonly known was the flagship of the 'Cunard Line' for nearly 40 years. 'QE2' made her maiden voyage in 1969 and was one of the last great Transatlantic liners. At over 70,000 ton, 963 feet long and later in her service, a top speed of 32 knots. With the latest technology used, the statistics shows that the 'QE2' was one of the fastest and grandest passenger vessels ever built. In this 'Channel 5' (UK) documentary, we learn about this gem of British maritime history with its fine prestige and magnificent persona. With its many highs to the occasional lows, the 'QE2' is arguably the most famous liner in the world.
